  The weekend will culminate in our traditional Batizado and Troca de Corda ceremony, where students have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and dedication while receiving their new cords. While registrations cover much of our event expenses, the accommodations for guests, costs of flights, and venues often leave us in the red. Many of our guests have agreed to donate their time to help support this event, but we want to do our best to pay them adequate compensation for their time.

One of our core missions is to adequately compensate all capoeira professionals, who dedicate their lives to mastering this beautiful art form. We believe in uplifting capoeira as a viable profession for these individuals, recognizing their invaluable contributions to preserving and promoting Brazilian culture worldwide.
